Today we're announcing our €5.6 million Series A, backed by Verb Ventures, Skagerak Capital and Vendep Capital.

It's a big moment for our team, but it's really an investment in an idea we've believed in from day one: what happens after a product breaks matters as much as what happens before it's sold.

When it's done well, aftersales can be transformed from a cost center into a profit center. It's where brands win loyalty, get value back from faulty products and learn how to make better ones.

The new funding goes into two things. We’re doubling down on AI agents built around each customer’s products, warranty policies, supplier agreements and workflows. And we’re scaling our business in the United States.

Why this problem is worth solving

When a customer’s product breaks, they see one problem. Behind it, there are usually many.

Someone has to decide whether it’s covered by warranty. Another has to work out what went wrong and whose responsibility it is. Then come the repairs, replacements, refunds and credit notes, often spread across email threads, spreadsheets and systems that don’t talk to each other.

That’s the part of aftersales most people never see, and it’s where time, money and customer trust quietly leak away. Resolving a single faulty product can involve a customer, retailer, supplier, manufacturer and repair partner. We built Claimlane to connect that whole process end-to-end, so everyone involved has the information they need to reach a resolution, and businesses can turn an operational burden into a source of competitive advantage.

What our customers have shown us

Our network now spans more than 20,000 retailers and brands, including customers like Skechers, Black Diamond, tonies®, and Hummel. Watching how they use Claimlane has taught us that better product resolution creates value in three areas.

1 - For customers, it protects trust.

The aftersales experience is a test of a brand's promise. When the path to resolution is clear and consistent, customers stay.

"With Claimlane, we can reduce manual work as we expand globally, allowing us to support far more families while delivering the same seamless experience across all our markets. Getting support should be as simple and intuitive as putting a Tonie on the Toniebox."

‍— Lauren Cooper, Director Global Customer Happiness, tonies®

2 - For the business, it recovers value.

Every claim involves a decision about whether to repair, replace or refund, and who should carry the cost. Getting those decisions right adds up. At Black Diamond, cutting manual claims work freed the team to build something new.

"Claimlane helped us turn our aftersales department from a cost center into a profit center. By reducing the manual work involved in handling claims, we freed up our team to build a repairs program that generates revenue through paid repairs and sales of repaired products."

— Tess Jordan, Senior Manager of Customer Experience, Black Diamond

3 - For teams, it creates time to improve.

Aftersales teams see where products fail before anyone else does. When they're not buried in admin, they can act on it.

"When we work with complex claims we haven't seen before, we can go directly to our suppliers, start a dialogue, find the root cause and discuss how to prevent them. Instead of working across several workflows, we can keep everything connected to the claim under one platform."

‍‍— Frederikke Raahede Andersen, Customer Care Team Lead, OMHU

Where the funding goes: AI built around each customer

Our platform does three things: it connects the brands, retailers, suppliers, manufacturers and repair partners involved in a claim. It helps teams understand each issue in the context of the product, warranty, supplier agreement and case history. And it lets them act, from coordinating a repair to triggering a replacement, refund or credit note through connected systems.

That connected foundation is what makes the next step possible. With this round, we’re doubling down on AI agents built around each customer’s products, warranty policies, supplier agreements and workflows. Our agents are being developed to assess each case against a business’s own policies and processes and help move claims towards resolution, with people involved wherever judgement is needed. Over time, we’ll deepen their expertise in categories like electronics, furniture and outdoor equipment.

Our investors see the same opportunity:

“We believe enduring AI businesses will combine specialised knowledge with the ability to execute within real workflows. Claimlane’s network and operational role provide a foundation that is difficult to replicate with AI alone. That is central to our investment thesis.”

— Alexey Bulygin, Principal, Verb Ventures

Going bigger in the US 🇺🇸

North America is already our largest market for new customers this year. US sales opportunities are up 150% year on year, and newly created pipeline value has doubled. US brands and retailers face the same challenges we've seen in Europe: fragmented systems, manual coordination, complex supplier relationships and customers who expect fast answers.

To be even closer to our customers, our CEO and co-founder Anders Sommer has relocated to Austin, joining our team on the ground to lead the next phase of US growth. Backed by our teams in Copenhagen and London, the funding will help us scale US operations and work side by side with brands and retailers across the country.

"The demand we're seeing from US brands and retailers makes our next move clear: we're investing in building a major business here. With this funding, we'll continue building AI agents that learn and handle complex aftersales workflows across the supply chain."

— Anders Sommer, CEO and co-founder
